Google offers 2GB free storage for security check
Here is some good news from Google!
They want to help you make sure your Google setting are safer, and they are willing to give 2 more Gigs of storage, on top of their already very generous storage allocation without up-front costs.
If you fill this out by Feb. 17, 2015 you will get 2G more on Feb 28 - they will let you know by email.
This bonus means more combined space on Google:
- GMail
- Google Drive (aka Google Docs)
- Google Map - MyMaps storage (now stored in your Google Drive)
Even if you don't get in on the Feb 17 deadline, it is a good idea to review your Google security settings pretty regularly. Especially if you change phones, laptops, or log in from a friend's house and want to make sure that remove that as an automatically trusted log-in location (you wouldn't want a virus on your friend's computer to be able to log into your GMail 6 months later).
